As a Scot, I'd like to believe we're not racist (We're nasty to the English at times, but they are not a race). However, that blue-tinted spectacle view was torn away after 9/11, and I've come to realise that, far from the all-welcoming, we're a' Jock Thomson's bairns, image we like to put forward, there's a nasty, sleekit, festering sore of racism in some places up here.

The English business is mainly banter as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't have Trumpton catapulted over Hadrian's Wall, for instance (well, not because he's English, anyway). But some people take it to tribal extremes.

They are fairly fit i suppose Sam.Both are serious middle distance runners,belonging to the local athletics club,but are too old now to take that to a higher level and i suppose too busy.
Saw them last at a race meeting in Derby,which involved quite a few athletes on the verge of representing Great Britain.
On the looks side i would say they were pretty and fit if you like your women muscular.

You've been lucky then. There are some up here with not so much a chip on their shoulder as a big bag of tatties. Considering I personally know dozens of Scots, including various relatives, who now live and work in England, it would be kind of hypocritical for me to take the attitude with English folk who live here that they should "eff off home"---even supposing I was retarded enough to have that opinion.

Any cretin who uses that argument should be ignored and treated like the basket case they are.

If people didn't move around, and cross-pollinate, and learn from each other other, where would we be? (Anyone saying Norfolk, go to the back of the class).
