Magoo has a valid point, even though he might have expressed it more
diplomatically and you might have loftily ignored the implied slight.
You are certainly not the only poster who does this, and it does make it
very difficult to follow the 'currents' in a thread, especially if there are
several people doing it.

Admin, rather than posting a one-off instruction which many might miss,
might be better off finding a way round the problem.

In the course of speaking to ********** about my thread on the promotions forum for his latest trailer, we also spoke about this thread and I asked whether he might be posting on this or any other similar thread. It appears unfortunately that he will not be doing so at the moment. He gave a lengthy reason for this in our exchange, which although originally only intended for me to read, I have copied with his permission below.

I am not sure exactly where to position my post, so although I have placed it following the comments from Warren, it is probably relevant to a few of the other posts. I have done this because I think it a great shame that a person with such an undeniable talent, albeit one which is not to everyones taste, does not post on here and some may want to read why.



"I did see all the comments on the BGAFD and I have absolutely no
problem with any of them except Magoo. JJ is entitled to his comments
and he retracted the nastiest ones in a fair way and said nice things
about Miyah. Mart too strikes me as intelligent - he doesn't like me
or my stuff which is his right but his comments are very fair and he
doesn't resort to juvenille insults and a bitter attempt to blacken me
and my business just because he is opposed to extreme porn and my
views. No-one is suggesting I be stopped, but the 'playing into the
women's movement' was a bit rich, as I should imagine the entire weight
of the BGAFD is doing the same thing. Magoo however strikes me as a
nasty little thug and a sad lonely man - the sort of vitriolic
character that makes the BGAFD the sort of place I don't want to hang
out in. Shame. But it's nice to see so many people debating my stuff
in such an intelligent way, which would never EVER come from the
professional end of the industry. But I'm not a lurker, I have just
never seen a thread that long about me and it was quite flattering -
even the nasty stuff. But zevon is right insofar as it smacks of
hypocrisy for me to read and comment on my site so I promise never to
to view any comments on the BGAFD ever again!! But to suggest I need
ask BGAFD for permission to cut and paste a few nasty comments on my
site is stretching charity a little too far. I think my refusal to act
upon some of the more libellous comments made about my company on the
BGAFD is fair trade for me being able to jibe the shit out of them to
my hearts content. If the moderators take it on the chin, then I in
turn have to be realistic about some of the nastiness that gets spouted
by sour characters like Magoo every once in a while. The only thing I
won't accept is comments that threaten my business or spread nasty
untrue rumours or suggest my shoots are anything other than 100% safe.
That I will act on legally. But otherwise, debate and bitch me into
the ground all they care. I don't mind.
But the main reason I won't post on the BGAFD is because as much as I
know the O/T forum (apart from Magoo) can hold reasoned intelligent
debates, there will always be some cunt from inside the industry who
will start. They are not faceless and then I end up in a personal
battle with them because I have never attacked anyone in the industry
on my site who hasn't cast the first stone as it were. And anyway, as many of the posters have made it clear that my work is
not their bag I see no point in being there."
