Have to agree I hate this extreme stuff though. It's not 'natural', (if porn can be classed as natural), and for me all it does is give those against the industry the tools to argue their case.

Having said that if people want to make it it's their choice in the same way that it is mine not to watch it.

The good movies still slip through never the less ... movies like United States of Leland (Kevin Spacey) or Lost in Translation (Bill Murray) and others that are probably at Blockshite, but overlooked by the majority of clientele. I'm not interested by blockbuster movies and special effects or fighting movies ... or the latest axe murder episode. I've never watched a Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Ring or a Jacky Chan movie for more than a few minutes ... they strike me as rubbish. Explosions and car chases do nothing for me ... if it hasn't got a real story I'm not particularly interested. and I don't like sex in a real movie, that should be reserved for porn.

I think it does all come down to age. This is an arguement that's been going on for centuries, and is not just confined to porn. See the parents of the sixties condeming the beatles for making loud 'electronic' noise..."thats not proper music..not like what we had"....and then same kids twenty years later bemoaning the 'electronic blips and blops' of the next generation...read a jermey clarkson column for more on that.

Anyway I think it's totally missing the point saying producers now catering for 'chav' market 'misunderstand' porn. On the contrary they totally understand it, a bloke in his twenties wants to bash off to a movie with girls in it his own age he can imagine being with. I can totally understand why that's not appealing to someone say in late 30's over who yearns for curvry 80's lasses in perms getting rogered by blokes with big emoustaches....memories of his youth. But as you say like the 40 pluses have their Beatles c.d.'s the older porn market has their porn vids their for them. Why should the younger generation, with no interest in it be forced to watch it, or be patronised for having no interest in it?

On a personal note I'm hitting thirty, began watching porno around '88, and apart from a couple of tapes of that era i keep for nostalgia sake..(Im a sentimental sort..even about porn)...I much prefer the stuff coming out now, and the up fron attitude of the girls. As for lack of story....well I used to just fast foward to the sex scenes anyway, as I imgaine most blokes do and always did, unsophisticated or not. I'm a man and Im turned on by seeing attractive girls naked and having sex. Not that I cant enjoy complex films, sensuality and erotica...just not neccesary for a quick one of the wrist..which is after all what all porn is primarily for, dressed up as high art or not.

So Richas what you have proven is that you are just the target market that the modern porn producers seek. No story or plot, no make up and medioka birds with filthy mouths and bang wallop I've just wrote the plot for next 100 porn films?

Yes..and what? I'm a normal twenty something bloke like 99% of the blokes who pay for porn...and the market primarily, though not exlusively, caters for us and what we want because we are the mainstream...and that's wrong how? Fair enough if the older guys here prefer their 80's birds and porns I don't have a problem with that..but why do they have such a problem with us? They don't have to buy or watch it....
