Nice point James.... OK, I can see now that the issue isn't so much the fact that the pictures appear but the linking of those pictures to names { that might appear on job application forms in a few years }

I'd put forward for consideration {1} - If the pictures shown were those taken when the actresses were active then any embarrassment in future recognition might be avoided by the " yeah, looks like me but far too young " ploy and {2} - who was ever dumb enough to use their real name for a porn shoot??? - and if anyone thinks I'm REALLY called "The Reverend Hugh Jampton" could they get in touch 'cos I have some Eurotunnel shares I want to unload!

Why weren't these people advised to use the "first pet and name of the street you grew up in" formula to generate pornstar names? { which would make me Fred Long, by the way! }

Unless you end up in court the chances of being unmasked in the same way as "Ben Dover aka Steve Perry aka Lindsey Honey" would be pretty slim! :-)

I'm glad I kicked this thread off, it's been a pleasure and an education to read through the variety of opinions expressed.

if u got paid and signed a model release then tough shit.
im fully aware that im gonna be on the net for the full duration of my life time in whatever small capacity.
thats my problem if it ever evolves.
most MR's state that the owner has full rights to sell the pics where ever they want to.
i do believe that girls should be able to contact bases such as this and searchextreme and ask that they remove pics as they are only for editorial use and usually rank high on search engines.

if however the girls name (alongside pics) is being used to sell something she is not a part of then i believe she has the right to ask for removal.

and dont forget whatever an MR states or doesnt u will always get hackers that steal pics.

It's funny you should say this, because we're in a similar quandary with a UK star who e-mailed us recently asking us to remove an AKA that she didn't want to be associated with, even tho she was credited as that name.

She only has one title in our database, but her performer record does list this "unwanted" AKA (and the movie should, too, but it doesn't - yet).

So, do we remove it? I'm of two minds -- yes, we remove it, because at the end of day, how much does it matter? No, we don't remove it, someone is going to look up that movie and wonder why such-and-such nickname isn't listed...

I can sympathize with the performers who want their info removed, but at the same time, you can't undo everything you've ever done...

The problem is that this site is a database, and a very useful one at that. If you start allowing girls to remove their images, it starts to lose its value as a database doesn't it? And as for Louise Hodges asking for her image to be removed, in the name of arse, why??

I still think its a minor inconvenience compared to what it used to be like 4/5 years ago given that the girls page is still intact with film listings & websites/groups

As happened a couple of months ago when someone asked on the forum after a girl who had her picture removed another forumite sent them a picture

cheers
