One video under somebody else's name in the biggest porn market in the world doesn't make Phil McC a "successful international porn producer". The problem with Phil is the gulf between what he says and what he does. He perpetually lectures amateurs on this site about how professional he is, and how nobody else knows anything. However, the RAME review of his single video to be sold Stateside includes the following:
"The lighting and color of the scenes had that beloved amateur look & feel about it. Occasional orange and yellow tints, black holes about the naughtie bits, before mentioned sound problems,....".
Anyway, I don't want to discourage the man. It's hard to make porn in this country. I just wish he wouldn't continually run other people down, then claim that all he does is help everybody. Here are his views on the most successful soft porn maker in the country: "Personally I think the productions are very poor and seem to be what Strand were doing 18 years ago."

This forum constantly slags off the big guys who have been ripping the ordinary punter off for years, they never respond or replace any wrongly advertised goods etc, I am as big a punter as anyone else on this site I buy other producers vids so I think like a punter, who else got the video prices in London down by suppling in volume at a decent price to the shops I even read on here I was selling my stuff to cheap,,maybe I do but it gets the units out, my stuff is in every sex shop in the UK and in HMV & Virgin most video rental shops have my 18 stuff and when I have spoke to international companies they are amazed at the volume of products we get out, Fuck Truck would be in the top 10 sell through videos in Europe just based on its VHS sales
Still I am sure some ass will try and dispute this also but may I suggest you ask around.

Phil, for God's sake stop acting so defensively the whole time. You can't expect to call people "clever know f-alls", and then expect not to get a little criticism back. If you're so big, don't rise to it. Let it wash over you. You're too thin-skinned for your own good, man.
I can't speak for others, but I personally wish you no harm, and I doubt that many other people do. We wouldn't object to slightly less beating of your own drum, but we all accept that you have your place in the universe. I find the forum slightly duller when you're in Berlin, or wherever, so welcome back!

I think what everyone has to be is patient.My comment earlier is true,but do not forget that the current crop of producers have only recently had the UK market opened up to them.Although they have worked with big cheeses in the industry(HANS MOSER,PRIVATE ETC)it is not their own budgets and techniques that apply.
Therefore it is fair to say that international marketing is still a learning process for them,but I gather that the home market is well serviced.
Do not forget that they are competing and trying to break into markets where porn has been legal for years,and all the big boys have their own little club.If we had the same openess for years,whose to say that the current crop would not be competing with the likes of PRIVATE,VIVID,EVIL ANGELetc.
There does seem to be some handbags flying around here!!!!!

I couldn't care less about the rights and wrongs of the argument. I'm not qualified to judge that. I'm just extremely irritated by its constant recurrence on this forum and wish yopu would take it elsewhere.
