Of course a lion doesnt show "respect" when killing a gazelle. Why the fuck should it. Its got to eat. But I bet you will never see a lion fucking a gazelle while all the lions mates sit round and have a good old wank before selling a video of the event to a lion porno company in Amsterdam. On the subject of animal porn - it's important that we note that this isn't really the same moral kettle of fish as 'extreme' intra-human porno scenes. I find the latter morally acceptable if they're between consenting adults, even if much of the piss/scat stuff turns me off.

The issue with animals is that nobody asks an animal for its consent and even if they did, it couldn't give it. I despise mistreatment of animals. I think that it shows a huge weakness of character and lack of moral fibre, to abuse something so much weaker and less well-defended than oneself. I think that the use of animals in porn has to be considered as such an abuse. I would not ewant to see animal porn become widespread in the UK, although as observed below, it is hardly mainstream even in Europe.

From the animal's point of view, I can't see why filming a dog fucking a woman is worse than filming horses being killed painfully in Ben Hur. We use and abuse animals in lots of ways, and I would rather in this example be the dog than the horse.
From the woman's point of view, I think we come up against the murky problem of what is true consent, as Matt alluded to above.
If somebody is desperate for money, then the quality of their consent is less than if they are not desperate. I suspect that again, I would rather be the dog than the woman.
However, many years ago, when there were fewer taboos, there was a long-running correspondence in Forum magazine about women who used dogs for sexual pleasure. Loads of women wrote in to relate their experiences. Most never went further than allowing the dogs to lick them, though a few said they went the whole hog/dog.
It was quite illuminating. The consensus was that a human's tongue is no match for a dog's. As far as consent is concerned, I don't think the dogs needed any encouragement. Contrary to what was said above, I believe that dogs are happy to fuck humnas. Pet dogs think they are humans.
