Having read all the messages in this thread the view seems to be that condoms in hardcore are a turn off and that pornsters have to accept the risk (however slight) that they might contract some std (HIV or not) even if the majority of viewers, if having sex with someone new, would probably think it wise to get their 'mac' on. Would YOU have unsafe sex with, say, a working girl?
In the USA there have been pornsters contracting AIDS and you all must know how John Holmes ended up. OK, so drugs might have been involved also, but the end result is the same, and his partners just as much at risk. The UK industry might have just been very lucky, so far. An Aids test certificate only states the position at the date of the test. Who knows what has happened since, who the person has had sex with?
As long as it is clearly stated whether 'safe sex' is involved in the production (I salute Your Choice for this)it is up to the viewer to make their own choice.
