... it's that repetition of "personal reasons" that I find puzzling.
As I said earlier, it explains precisely nothing.
Post-partum, when they've sagged a bit after mewling brats have been chewing
them for a few weeks, I can understand : -)
But for a perfectly healthy young girl to want to submit to essentially unnecessary
radical surgery with a non-trivial risk-factor there ought to be a more telling
reason than 'because I wanna". If that 'explanation' is sufficient to allow a
surgeon to proceed then the system is far too lax- and anyway, in my view its
practitioners are clearly acting against their Hippocratic Oath. "I want you to"
is insufficient ground for a surgeon to amputate a patient's limb.
If it's peer-pressure, or insecurity, or being a vegetarian Sagittarius with Virgo
rising, then fine- why not say so? At least that would re-open the debate about
the dubious ethics behind the practice.
What really pisses me off about all this in the end is the criminal misapplication
of talent; there are thousands of First-World surgeons growing fat on this
work whilst all across the planet thousands of children and millions of adults
cannot get access to even the simplest procedures and must live out their [often
tragically-brief] lives needlessly crippled.
What a world we've created.........

What?
Like the "scuzzy parolee" look? [think: Dave Hardman....] [img]

The 'third child-molester from the left' look also seems to popular in the States.
Current US compulsory features seem to be: the keeping-on of socks [although if
their fingernails are any guide, maybe it's wise to hide their feet], unkempt hair
[or none: the 'life-without-parole' look]; 'lairy' attitude [slapping/spitting as
optional extras] with copious high-fiving.

Just for the record...Im not against the nicely presented look. I thought this thread was about enhancements that in itself is a misnomer if it makes the girls look fake and less attractive
I'm not against girls having their hair and nails did right and looking good but I also subscribe tothe idea that if a girl as a blank canvass looks great without makeup then thats a good start as any.
I love glamour as much as the next man. Even on the girl next door types

First IMHO it is for non of us to slate a girl if she wants cosmetic surgery, tattoos etc or more reversible thinks piercings, hair styles and colours etc to create a look that she wants.
However if her body is her tool of the trade it is important to know what the consumer wants. Fortunately there are a wide range of preferences and ' one man's meat is another man's poison '.
What is important is to realise that while short term a new look can generate work the work this work may not be enough to fund the new look. Also once certain outlets have been satisfied work may then well decline and if the look is non reversible previous opportunities for repeat work may well no longer exist.
It is pleasing to read KatieK's view and I think carrying on as she is she has an excellent long term future in this industry.
As I've posted many times unnatural looking boob jobs that look like a hard ball glued to the rib cage and tattoos are a turn off for me.

This mirrors to a certain extent my thinking.... those societal influences that
currently encourage more-or-less permanent 'enhancements' will in a few years'
time inevitably perform one of their periodic volte-faces and perhaps begin
to advocate a return to a 'natural' look, leaving surgically-altered ladies somewhat
behind the times.
Let's always keep in mind, too, the fact that the surgery is not only a good deal
less than 100% successful [but of course one rarely hears about those cases]
but has also on occasion been fatal..... I'm perfectly aware of course that
fashion-trends in the past have also been similarly deleterious but I see no reason
why a supposedly ethical society should so tacitly encourage such gross risks to
many of its citizens.
Unlike tobacco and alcohol, cosmetic surgery seems to be oddly immune to the
sort of paternalistic meddling promulgated by successive recent administrations.

I'm not quite sure where girls get the idea that surgery is attractive other than from other girls who think it will make them attractive who have seen fame hungry people on TV shows suchs Big Brother and this is essex type shows. Not that many men seem to like it.
Same with tattoos. Before people seemed to get them to look different and unique but it seems the opposite now where people get them because eveyone else has them. It's become so common.
