Don't worry, our Christian fundamentalists want to cancel our euthanasia legislation too. (The smaller of them also wants to introduce capital punishment and does not seem to realize this is somewhat inconsequent.) Abortion, prostitution and drugs should be forbidden too. One of these parties wants to turn the Netherlands into a Christian Iran; the other into a Taliban-led but Christian Afghanistan. I am quite worried that these parties appear to be acceptable to the Christian Democrats, our biggest party, to share government power with.

Thats the price you pay for having many different options when voting

Most people haven't a clue or don't care as was highlighted in the French elections.Left wing people voting for a candidate(who they don't believe in) to keep an extremist out of power-completely absurd but necessary

IMO that politics is a dirty game an it is necessary to do deals with the extreme element so your legislation has a chance of passing

Not much point getting into power and not being able to implement your agenda

It will be a sad day that those pieces of legislation you mentioned are ever overturned.Hard fought freedoms are worth fighting for IMO

Hypocrisy at its very best
