Dark Side of the Moon i can take it or leave it but Meatloafs Bat out of hell
I'd say was an alltime classic
The one thing both albums have which doesn't exist anymore is a story IMO(even if the floyd one need sa lot of deep thinking and recreational drugs o understand)
Concept albums if you will...Like Y & Ts 1984 effort In Rock We Trust are rare

This album was touted around labels for ages before anyone picked it up, and only because Todd Rundgren produced it. I admit, I have it, but it is so...........o dated and played to death. Jim Stienman is a lyricist genius, but then again, so was Joe Strummer and he didnt need to add ochestra's, choirs or poncey motorcycle noises to make a good record. Or have a fat bloke sing them.

Having been a dedicated Pink Floyd (& Waters solo) fan for years, one thing that really annoys me is the lack of early live stuff available, Floyd claim no concert footage exists of early Dark Side, Animals, Tours although every Floyd fan worth his salt knows The Wall show was filmed for inclusion in the movie, and a bootleg video (officially filmed) of the nassua colliseum show from 1980 is widely available, and Roger Waters is on record as saying he may release it "one day", take a look at forthcoming releases from Led Zeppelin, a 2 DVD live package featuring almost 5hrs! of classic live performances from Albert hall 69, Earls court 75, and Knebworth 80, plus a double CD featuring 3hrs of live tracks from the seventies, what do we have video wise from Floyd? they've only just decided to release the superb "Live at Pompeii" on DVD, what we need is a video anthology of some sort, not another fucking re-issue of Dark side of the moon!

I saw them live twice because my father was a bouncer when they played
at Apollo Stadium Adelaide in the seventies.he said they had to be led to their instruments because they were pissed as newts
Thankfully I had the brains to wear ear plugs which were covered with ear muffs which was covered with a beanie-couldn't hear a thing thank god
Never forgave him for that...well.....not until he said do you want to see AC/DC in their 1980 Tour.Wild horses wouldn't have kept me away even though Bon was no longer at the front.
