this is possibly the most amazing post in the history of bgafd (i may be exaggerating slightly but you've definitely smacked my gob, steve)!
lady of deceit aka born to kill is without doubt numero uno in my list of greatest noirs and one of my top films of all time. this obscure and grossly underrated flick is the real deal if you're like your noir 100% pure and uncut.
claire trevor's twisted performance is perversity incarnate and laurence tierney makes the hard men of todays silver screen look like the bunch of nosegay sniffing fops that they are.
you'll be banging on about 'the devil thumbs a ride' or 'where the sidewalk ends' next. (insert smiley denoting bewildered shaking of head)
