I have just started dating a WPC on the back of my car burglary last week, and she drinks ORANGE JUICE!!!!!!!!!!! AND she 'casually' mentioned my car tax is up at the end of the month!!! Once a copper, ALWAYS a copper!! Because of my desire to get my 'bobbys helmet' out, I am trying to give the right impression by drinking DIET COKE because 'I'm driving' Hope she puts out soon, this diet coke goes right through ya!!

So Ace your recent car robbery had a plus side & a minus side.

Your car got broken into which was very CRAPPY for you - hope they catch the buggers. You are now having to drink diet coke. Two minus points.

The plus is that you got a date out of your car being broken into too. Well done mate. Hope it goes well.

Yeah one a copper always a copper. Think it's to do with not getting into strife with someone they are seeing & upsetting the Chiefs.

Did you see that the copper who was dating the girl who plays Cat Slater in Eastenders was told to drop her cos of his job. I think she's due in court soon on some offence. There's the Police Force for you.

Any different in the army?

precisely...

contrary to what some may think, a moderators notion of paradise is a forum where s/he never has to remove or delete a post ever again. that ain't gonna happen of course but splitting the forum has at least brought some clarity to the decision making process.

i sympathise with the sentiment behind liz's initial post; this forum is as legitimate a place for serious posts as the other one. so when fellow forumites thoughtlessly stomp all over your thread, it's a bit like being tormented by kids who know you can't lay a finger on them. however... (and this is a pragmatic/selfish point, depending on your point of view) if we were to attempt to impose an embargo on the hijacking of threads, it really would be opening up a whole new can of, er, bees...

basically, our resources are limited and where possible, we would prefer to rely on the governance of self-interest to maintain things in a harmonious fashion.

here endeth the cop-out!

Yeah, Kat Slater and Plod......not exactly the best career move for him.
I haven't told my new friend my intrest in porn, I KNOW if it turned sour, I would get a dawn raid from a 'tip off' that I have a stash, so less said about THAT, the better!
I leave HM Forces in July, so 'maybe' the Police Force is an option..................YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!!

Has anything funny ever happened to you regarding a spoon?

Good points, all, and some worthwhile suggestions. There are certainly some threads I give up on once they appear to be on a farm track, having long deviated from the main road. In future I'll attempt to be more disciplined in my responses to threads and do my best not to wander too far off the beaten track.

Some of us do still post on the main forum; if we don't post as much over there, it's due to the fact that we have to be on topic.

Ace - Did not mean try joining the Police Force. I ment that must be the way the force works. Any hint of an officer been associated with any wrong doing is frowned upon. One can see why I guess!

Officers are NOT permitted to 'mix' socially with NCO's...all that brown nosing bollocks. My best mate is a WO2 and another is a sSgt, but as were all NCO's socialising is 'accepted' and I still take a bollocking where necessary. Bastards
