JFK wasn't killed immediately. He was in a vegetative state and Aristotle Onassis (who had the hots for Jackie) kept him on his private island of Skorpios. In return for keeping the secret he was "given" Jackie to marry.

Nope - this idea doesn't hold water. The U.S. Constitution allows for the removal of a President who is incapacitated - and in any case the whole point became moot when LBJ got elected in his own right.

I wasn't advancing this as a historical fact. It's just a story put about by the Greeks in that area. Skorpios notoriously had a very strict "No Visitors" policy and Onassis took his privacy very seriously.
