Ray is a VERY under-rated actor, and a decent ordinary bloke who hates all that luvvie bollocks.
I got a DVD called Births,Deaths and Marriages yesterday JUST because it had him in it, thats the magnitude of his talents, you KNOW it will be good as everything he has done is par excellence.......apart from his 'lost years' when he appeared in Minder

Scum is still one of his finest works, 25 years after it was made!

Arfur was the greatest invention on television, and for all the whippersnappers new to 'Minder' who grew up on 'Only Fools and Horses'....if you think 'Del-boy' is 'funny' imagine 100 times that and you are still not close to how funny Arfur Daley was

I fucking loved Minder, the first ever programme I was allowed to stay up past nine to watch, but when they brought that Gary whatsisname in it was hella lame, "This is Ray Daley, he's family" bollocks! Dennis Waterman was Terry and that was it! I have just finished collecting em on DVD and they are still great, I always wanted to be Terry, in the same way I wanted to be Han Solo, and not Luke Skywalker, cos Han was cool, and got the punani
