the epic henry vii is on at 21.00 hrs till 23.00 hrs so i set my vcr for 20.00-0.00 just in case theres a change,might as well see heartbeat too.

a hero? can't say i've come across anyone referring to him in those terms.

being a foreigner, i suspect you're mistaking the teratological tendencies of the english for a misplaced love of all things royal. ;-)

Could be, mate. Certainly there's always been this "merry Tudor monarch" spiel about him. I can think of few worse examples of spoiled brats that grew to be monsters. The only decent thing he ever did was father Elizabeth.

Come to think of it, good queen Bess apart, name me one decent king or queem.
