One daytime our shoplifting hero was presenting some banal tat with his half cut wife and their guest, the agony aunt, Mrs-whoever-it-was. They were taking calls from us, the great unwashed, offering their expert cod psychology advice. It went something like this:

Madeley: Hello Tom on line 3 how can we help?
Caller: Hi Richard it's not really a problem like your previous callers
Madeley: OK well lets see if we can help you out.
Caller: Well I'm having a party tonight, Richard, and I was wondering if you could nick a crate of wine from my local supermarket ?
Madeley: Get off the line that's not funny! How do these people get through. Stop wasting our time there's people with serious problems trying to get our help !!



As you can imagine you could hear the crew trying to stiffle their laughter at the hapless twat.

Best TV I'd seen in a long while. Unfortunately they've changed their sytstem so they now ring you back for that part of the show!

visited my mother the other day. she wouldn't let me turn the TV over coz she was waiting for richard and judy show.
I had to sit there and control myself as he interviewed poor Cuba Gooding Jr.
How the bloke didn't punch him, i just do not know.
Everytime judy asked him a question, the muppet by her side answered it.
I take my hat off to Mr Gooding Jr. what a guy! What a strong guy to sit and have to look and listen to the wine thieving knob end with the shaky wife!
on that subject, i wonder if the supermarkets go on alert when madeley goes shopping. do they watch him with their magic eye? do they get the store detective to follow him and watch his every move? i bet he eats the grapes from his trolley on the way around tescos!

Worse still she slurs dippy half arsed questions at the guests and nobby numbskull butts in with his ill informed answer on a subject which is normally the guests area of expertise.
