Absolutely- but I just don't want to hear about it when he falls off the wagon for the 500th time. Alcohol-addiction is one of the biggest killers and ruins so many other lives, and this bloke is just taking the piss (no pun intended).
Any addiction counsellor will tell you that the publicity accorded Best is an example of co-dependency- leave him totally alone, to reach his own personal rock-bottom (which will never happen as long as publicity-seeking dumb blondes and moronic journalists keep giving him delusions that all is well), and then he'll either live, or die. The transplant is largely irrelevant- if Best himself doesn't want to quit the booze (and I don't believe he's yet had the decision forced upon him strongly enough), then he won't, and no amount of celebrity clinic-attendance or surgery will help.
