I think if the murders were recent, say in last 50 years, I would NEVER live in the house, but anything pre-WW2 I could accept.
A sales assistant in Waterstones in Town where I now live worked as a nanny in Cromwell Street (Fred and Rose West) in the 70's and when it all came out, she had nightmares, so imagine living in the same street, let alone the same house. She didn't know them to talk too, but did recognise the 'Neanderthal-type' Fred in the papers.
