Unfortunately over here you have to wait till your within an inch of dying because the law is "SEEMINGLY" weighted in the Criminals favour.

A local farmer was sent to prison after shhoting a Burglar Dead in his house in the dead of night, and may i say after numerous other burglaries. But hopefully if he had been left to grow up, he would have grown out of that faze and settled down. Although we should forget his years of misery inflicted on his victims.

Neither do I (and why be aplogetic about it?), but your traducement of AI is totally out of order- just because they had the temerity to point up the US's piss-poor record on Human Rights, I suppose.
And if our Government had had a rational drugs rehab. policy, maybe this twit would have received some help before being reduced to sufficient desperation to perpetrate this crime. It's a truism that for every lazy career criminal, there are ten who would drop it tomorrow, given a better alternative. And society benefits from the removal of a criminal AND the gain of a useful citizen.

All true. But I fear that better alternative will become scarcer still should the viciously righteous mentality prevalent today spread further. No better way of making sure criminals remain criminals, which might please some I suppose.
