lol theres so many varieties of baldness....youve got the crown balding or the hairline recessing, completely loss of hair, loss all over the top but not the sides , theres just so many possibilities and some are better than others!

Having said that, a lotta guys can pull off shaved/short cut hair pretty well :)

It's a case of just having to.

And as a wise man once said, it's not as if it hurts every time one falls out (well, except your ego).

Poor self-image also comes from the Media

Full of impossibly beautiful people which many try and become sadly

Trouble is most of it isn't real....its either due to surgery or touching up
but the public doesn't know that

cheers

Can I just say my name is ?Idol? and I went bald at 21, oops sorry wrong class son this aint the baldness anonymous meeting, seriously do you guys think like me that if this was a womens issue it would be in every magazine, and every advert on the television, and I believe they would have had a cure for it long ago, sadly because it is a manish problem it is ?swept? to the side.
I am in my early 30?s Idol and have not really had any problems with hair loss, but look for the tell tale signs like lots of hairs in the remnants of your bath water, and the cold feeling on the crown of your head when you bang the bed-post.
This can be a worrying thing but unfortunately it is like the beer gut or love handles it comes to us all eventually. My brother uses special shampoo he gets from Switzerland which helps with thinning hair, now he does not have any hair loss but he just uses it as a precaution because his father went bald very early in life, so go figure.

lol thanks crofter. You guys are starting to make it sound like ive got no hair! Ive got a full head of it, just a bit concerned about the sides bits which ive noticed almost all guys have that area recessed a certain amount by certain ages....i dont think ive got much chance of losing all my hair !lol

I agree with deuce though, as easy as the media is to blame for everything i think its q. likely its to blame for the poor self image around

been nearly bald for 15 years( i'm 42 ) and worried about it at first but then realised how much easier it is not having to worry about how my hair is looking or paying money to a hairdresser. i just run clippers over my head every so often, makes life a bit simpler!!
