There was a rip-off Romancing The Stone TV show, can't recall it's name, but I think it had Jenny Seagrove in it.

Just like 'Young Indiana Jones' the TV show aimed squarely at the 5-15 age group not unlike Indian Jones in many ways
After watching a movie on the big screen and to then see it made into a TV show beggars belief-the small screen is pitiful
cheers

M*A*S*H being the exception that proves the rule?

Early seasons of M*A*S*H were okay, but the bloody thing went on four times longer than the war and became too like a soap opera.
There were a number of drama-type things in the early 70s. Richard Widmark as Madigan, even though he died in the original (utterly pisspoor) movie; Dennis Weaver as Macleod, a rip-off of a Clint Eastwood movie.
Hogan's Heroes was Stalag 17, Northern Exposure was Local Hero translated to Alaska. I could go on (and usually do).
