Yeah, I too thought the Porter rendition a little too rich for my blood.
I think I could cope with the scat, or the St Vitus's dance, but not both simultaenously.
BTW, you seem to have hit inadvertently on a diagnostic tool not yet recognised by the world of psychiatry: anyone found writing to POV could be quietly taken away for assessment, while of course those penning their maunderings in green ink could be immediately Sectioned.

I'm sorry for the H crack: would you settle for Don Estelle?

Only with his pith helmet on, surely?

Naturally!

Think you're right about POV too. I only saw those brief, scarring moments because I was waiting for some football to come on. "I'd just like to write in and thank the BBC for the wonderful 101 Ways To Wallpaper Your Hall---absolutely riveting."

Shudder.

Someone actually once wrote in to thank the BBC for Linda Barker (I, too, was waiting for the next prog to surface.......in case you were asking).
Clearly, a most dangerous individual, probably psychotic and definitely suicidal.....
I buy all my tropical gear, pith helmets, machetes and such, from Abercrombie & Fitch: an excellent retailer- they also give handy travel hints, such as not to give guavas to Yanomami Indians, and how to fillet an anaconda so that you can easily baste it with crushed termites.

And what kind of lizard goes best with chips?

Linda Barker has the archetypal bunnyboiler look.

......but at least no-one is considering you as part of their next menu, unlike certain lacertine individuals I could mention, although I'm much too well-brought up to do so, oh no, we were given lots of deportment and etiquette classes at St Ambrosia's School for the Children of Gentlefolk, I can still carry three volumes of the Encyc. Britt. on me head without batting an eyelid, and use a fish-knife without disembowelling meself, and talk proper to vicars and such........
Hey, Liz !!
I'm actually going to the P Off tonite, to post yer vid, and I have another on its way as soon as I've saved up enough for the stamps and a bit of sticky-tape, what a turn-up for the books, eh? Who'd have thought it, it just goes to show, you never can tell.......witter....blether....natter....rave....

Is Don really dead? I'm shocked.
