This thread started off very badly, lots of university educated hippy shite;ie bleurgh!.I mean for fucks sake, Barcley james harvest, Yes,etc.I always avoided people at parties who liked that sort of shite,but then the choicesgot better;I agree with Joy Division/closer,excellent.My favourite one is Bowie's/Low album even though at the time it was a commercial failure,it has since being given the recognition it rightly deserves.
Also the rolling Stones/aftermath album brought out a year before Sg Peppers, an absolute belter.
