I remember the "Doing the Secret Agents Job" or "Going Undercover" was 1 we always used in school, it was for the trick of slipping your hand under a girls blouse & feeling up her tits, with your hand inside her bra.

Another good 1 for you all, "Tugging the Turf"!

Only 3 guys in our school managed to do that b4 we left school.

Tugging the Turf was playing with the girl's pubic hair mound, inside her panties, in school, usually either in class, or in dinner recess.

Many of my generation have played either the 'but I was disgusted' or 'no, I laughed' card regarding Mr Deacon but it matters not either way really. There is wide agreement that the whole episode was a colossal error of judgement on Blue Peter?s part, cruelly, but crucially, highlighting the gulf between how the programme makers imagined children to be, and how they actually were (and I imagine still are). A greater blow to a programme's credibility it is difficult to imagine, and it took years on end for BP to recover*. You?re right about the fear element, of course, with this sort of laughter being frowned upon by adults through the fear of what may develop out of it. Common sense eventually transcends for most.

*and how - the present line-up is the best they?ve ever had, and yes, I?ve still got my badge somewhere.
