I've seen a few tapes of his stuff. On one hand, I love the tiny skirts, high heels and girls like Catalina who know how to tease so well. On the other hand, I dont really need to see the girl getting turned inside out, made to lick his arsehole etc etc. And acting or not, Max comes across as such a cunt he just puts me off. My ideal Max movie would have Max cut out and just leave some of his girls doing each other.

We've been up the 'exploitation' road before, and I'll merely reiterate my contention that 'exploitation' is a matter of degree and viewpoint.
As to MH, I generally find his stuff distasteful to a greater or lesser degree (especialy all that gagging and schoolie-talk shite, and noting that he tends not to be so apparently 'abusive' with established performers.....), although if I've just been patronised by yet another gum-chewing, slack-jawed, heroically unhelpful, illiterate shopgirl with multiple tattoos and piercings and a ghastly hairdo that would have shamed a 70s glam-rocker, whose wages I am privileged to augment for the mere satisfaction of being overcharged for goods I didn't want in the first place being stuffed unceremoniously into a cheap and flimsy paper bag and dismissed peremptorily with the odious mantra 'have a naice die, Thankyew, NEXT !!!", then I find it pleasant to feed my Inner Misogynist by 'relaxing' with a bit of Nasty Ole Max.
The above is partially a poor tribute to one of journalism's greats, who I suspect didn't get a mensh here on his passing recently- I fervently hope one day to compose an article comprising one sentence consisting of a staggering 40 sub-clauses......

Bernard Levin and Max Hardcore in the same thread.... Weird!
Anyway, can't help wondering whether Max Hardcore's tapes are a bit like voting Conservative in 1990. Every did it (i.e buys them) but no-one wants to admit they did!
Yes Max is probably a bit of a prick, but you have to admit he came along at a time when porno was ready to take 'the great leap forward' in terms of explicit content. He exploited anal sex in ways which hadn't been done before, so far as I'm aware. In so doing, he paved the way for the 'extreme gonzo' which the market is packed with at the moment, from which there is no foreseeable way back... But fair play to him for having the courage to innovate when he did.
You have to wonder what the first girls he worked with thought about it all.

Never bought Max Hardcore stuff and never, ever (and never will) voted for the Tolies.
Bernard Levin was a pretentious arse, and seeing him have his lights punched out was a great moment of television. As for Mr Hardcore, no amount of misognynistic feeling would make me feel comfortable watching his films. If there is any justice, he will one day be taken prisoner by a bunch of feminists with strap-ons and given a taste of his own medicine.

I'm no Tory either, just to clarify!
I agree with you- you don't feel comfortable watching his movies, but then isn't that the idea... They are designed to be extreme. I've often thought his films deserve to be categorised as Horror, not Porn.
What was the business with Bernard Levin getting punched on TV? Who was he??

Agree with you about the feminists though. I do wonder what fate would be in store for him if he ever had to go to jail on obscenity charges. (He did go to court- case dismissed in 2002.)
I also expect he has to employ a fairly visible security team. There have to be a few fathers, boyfriends, etc out there who would like to express their dissatisfaction with his work!
What a nutter.

Excellent piece of observation 'n' social comment dude.

Eclecticism (or woolgathering and senile dementia, if you prefer)- one of the delights that is the Silly Persons' Forum.

When you've seen a few, they tend to pall- but doesn't that apply to almost ALL porn? And many other things?

Have no problem with the fate you've reserved for Max (poetic justice, very Dantean), but any man who had the guts to screw the redoubtable Ms Arianna Stassinopoulos-Huffington-MegalomaniacBitchFromHell while enduring hour after hour of interminable Wagner has my undying admiration.
