there was 1 about rats escaping while a dj on the radio was hosting a programme.
What Kneale was good at was creating atmosphere. At no point in any of the Beasts dramas do you see the actual "beast" involved, but they are still present.
For a real, three change of underwear, example of what the man can do, see:
A scarefest along the lines of The Others and other classic ghost stories.
