The days of our monarch having a say in what the government does is long gone.

The British Queen (or King) is a figurehead and a token head of state.

The minute they start interfering in the decisions of the government the quicker the monarch would be removed from all decision making.

Why do you think the Queen reads out all the things the government are going to do at the opening of Parliment without comment.

She can hardly say 'but I dont agree with that' or 'that is not a very good idea' at the end of some government plan.

I'm aware of that she's a constitutional monarch. However she still has the legal right to do this, and if we had a priminister invading foreign countries willy nilly, against the will of his people, she could and WOULD remove him, as her duty is primarily to the subjects of her realm, not politicians, thats the whole point of retaining the monarchy she's above party politics. Also the armed forces pledge allegeince to the crown and realm NOT Tony blair or the house of commons, those soldiers fight for their Queen and country, so the assumption Queen somehow disagreed with the Iraq War but was powerless to stop it, is fairly idioticespecially when theres no evidence supporting that and all the evidence points the other way entirely.
