Santo and Johnny - Sleepwalk
Slash (Guns N Roses) - November Rain
Kirk Hammett (Metallica) - And Justice For All
Dave Murray/Adrian Smith/Janick Gers (Iron Maiden) - The Trooper, Afraid To Shoot Strangers (among others, but I'm too tired to remember them all)
Yngwie Malmsteen - Vengeance (and just about anything else he's done, Brian May described him as the guitarist that all other guitarists are jealous of)
Brian May (Queen) - Innuendo, Gimme The Prize, (Plenty of others too)
Just seeing this thread has made me decide to give all my CDs a listen tomorrow so I can pick out any that I've missed.

Oops!! yes indeed you are right there!! I should have said Dave Murray for the Iron Maiden track which had a excellent guiter solo. The bassline on that track was just fantastic also so credit also due to Steve Harris!! thats song rules!!! ...and the song makes a lot of sence even in times like these.
Maiden wrote that track about the gulf war back then and how war sucks!! nothings changed!!! seems we have come full circle again.
An epic track!!!

"Trying to visualise the horrors that will lay ahead"
It is an awesome track even by Maiden's mighty standards, I love the "Fear Of The Dark" album. The guys in Maiden are off the scale as musicians, absolutely blinding if often overlooked. In my opinion one of the best examples of Maiden as top class musos is "Sign Of The Cross" from the "X Factor" album. It's a dark, brooding epic with enough time changes and classy musicianship to have fans of the likes of Genesis in ecstasy. All that and it fucking rocks too!

The Braggs guitar solo (which he played on a Guitar made from ethically produced matchsticks) on "I'm from Barking" is sublime
