If an eton educated toffee nosed snob who can't find his arse with both hands can become prime minister then it will be a sad day for britain.

He seems about the only one in the running who might actually win an election for the Tories by being someone on the same "level" as Blair - young, smug, might even be as charismatic as Blair!
I mean lets face it the only reason that the Tories didn't win the last couple of elections is (I feel anyway) because nobody liked their leader. Ian Duncan Smith and the pratt before him both had no personality (when compared to Blair) and the out going leader was from the Maggie era that most people still remember so it went against him in the long run!

After the dull bastards they've had recently, anyone could seem to have charisma. Since the bloke "allegedly" has taken drugs and been a bit of a naughty boy at one time, at least they've picked someone from the same planet as the rest of us this time.

Non-exec directorships get gifted to Eton boys by their ex-Eton mates. It means he's qualified to turn up to a meeting once a month and not fall asleep.

"the tories can't do any worse than they are doing now, so why not give him a chance !"

I assume you're too young to remember the 80s...

Much as I loath Blair and his cronies, I can't see either David would take us forward either.
