I saw on PBS some time back that the effects of global warming have been somewhat mitigated by the cloaking effects of particle pollution in the atmosphere, mainly from the relatively new industries in India & China that don't worry too much about emissions control. One scientist checked temps in the U.S. in the 3 days after 9/11 when no planes were flying & found a real increase in temps, due to no cloud-like contrails. Seems unlikely, but last March when the air was clear, in about 20 minutes I counted 13 airplanes in the sky, & nowhere near an airport either, & this isn't a major city by any means.

Some scientists say this is a "normal" warming period, but I see no reason to help it along.

And on the other side of the country, I've been praying for a thunderstorm for a couple of weeks. I'm not suffering as badly as some of you, but I'm suffering all the same.

Previously this year, all in one day, we have had it Hot, Wet, Clammy/Muggy & some Cunt (Road Maintenance twats) cut the main power to the district, so no power to the entire area for over 3 hours, that was a fucker.

Phew it is hot.....but I still love summer...

Yes but what Ship is it theres loads of them and if i happen to be passing i could drop in for a sly look and a bevvy!love!
