Can't argue with Attenborough winning it (after all, he brought us BBC2 and secured Match of the Day) but it has to be said that Planet Earth is slightly sub par by his standards.

Still, not that bad a list. Alan Bennett, the talking tea cosy, I've no real time for, but I'm glad Mike Leigh and David Hockney aren't there. No room for Lucian Freud though?
