Arginald... As a very lucky survivor of the Hillsborough Disaster - I was in the Leppings Lane End - I think an apology is needed pronto to all Liverpool supporters who use this particular "chat room".
That was a completely foolish thing you wrote, my friend, for someone who wasn't present at the ground that fateful Saturday.
What's wrong for wanting JUSTICE for God's sake?!
I, and all decent football fans on this website including the terrific Arsenal supporters at Anfield last Saturday, await your apology...

Very glad you survived, my thoughts are still with others that did not.

I was at Anfield in May 89 with the Arsenal for the Championship game and the atmosphere that day was strange and elated.

I have been in crushes at White Hart Lane and Loftus road, where kids and adults could hardly breathe. It must of been one hundred times worse than that at Hillsborough.

I know the Scouse will never forgive the Scum newspaper for saying that Liverpool fans were stealing the wallets of the dead people and the other comments.

On a good note though, tonights game, 6 shots on target 6 goals. Where did these goals come from. We normally need 20 shots on goal to score 1 goal.

Not a bad average Liverpool 4 Arsenal 9 over 180 minutes.

Now bring on the Lilleywhites.

CHEERS for the kind words, Letch.
Yes, I too was at Anfield just a few weeks later to see Michael Thomas snatch the title out of our grasp with barely seconds of the truly unforgettable season remaining.
But although we were all very upset with the outcome, what had transpired before put EVERYTHING into perspective.
Well done to your lot again tonight - I've written my thoughts on the amazing match on the thread posted by Marino.
Good luck against your old foes in the semi-final. It'll be quite interesting to see both managers' team selections.
And as long as one of you beats the scum from Stamford Bridge in the final, that'll do all Liverpool fans!
