You are exactly right Andy. Most of the containers were still secure when they came onto the beach and were forced open by scavengers. They were extremely lucky not to be arrested. The cost of the clean up will probably fall on the local taxpayers, as the ship's insureres will argue, with some justification, that had not the containers been tampered with the clear up would have been much simpler and the Police should have stopped the looting earlier than they did.

They could strip the bike down for parts and sell it that way
so not worthless, spares parts cost alot !.
