As I have said, I dont think anyone has the right for their beliefs not to be offended, though there is a difference between offending someone because of their beliefs, about which they can do something, and their race, colour, ethnicity, about which they can do nothing.

'...I therefore, to your own twisted fucking logic, ask that you subscribe to my views because if you don't I will be offended.'

See my comment above. You can be as offended as you like, and I trust you are, they are only your beliefs being critisised after all. As you say we know nothing about you or what you do, so any attack is at what you say, not at who or what you are.

'...I have not aimed any specific degrading remarks at any of you...'

Then spell our names correctly as we do yours. Where have I made any degrading remarks towards you? However your fatuous claim to be talking 'the truth' is a bit of a hostage to fortune, is it not?

'...By the time you actually realise what is happening in this country it will be too late.'

I'm well aware of what is happening in this country. We have allowed a PM to take on an almost Presidential mantle, with a supine parliament in tow, and let him lay the foundations for a surveillance society. Next stop a police state. And I didn't need the papers to tell me that.

Finally, far be it from me to have to run to Bob's defence, but just because he disagrees with your politcs, why does that appear to make him a communist in your eyes? You can be liberal, even left of centre, open-minded, fair, non-racist, run private shows, etc and still be a capitalist you know.

Bob did call him a tosser, to be fair.

That's not attacking his views is it?

What's really hypocritical of liberalism is that it's the opposite of authoritarianism. However we need authority to protect our rights! Liberalism needs authority to survive!

It's the yin & yang affect !wink!

I did indeed call him a tosser.... far more TRUTHFUL than anything THE BRUTAL TRUTH has ever posted!

People are free to post whatever OPINIONS they have, but I'm not going to stand idly by when morons like THE BRUTAL TRUTH post their half-baked ideas as FACT.

I couldn't care less that he spells my name wrong... sticks & stones, as they say. But I do care that he is allowed to post his rabid thoughts on here without someone questioning where he gets his ideas from.

So far he has yet to furnish the proof that you are not allowed to say "husband and wife" in case it offends gays... so he can carry on calling me Bob Simpleton for as long as he wants, because while he's doing that he's just showing himself up for the TOSSER that he is!

You are totally correct that any story, particulary those concerning alleged political correctness, appearing in any of the newspapers you mention should be treated with extreme scepticism. Nevertheless, there should be concern at the levels that PC is reaching in this country.

TBH PC has never impacted my life in the slightest, except for people whinging endlessly about it. I trace this whole "PC gone mad" nonsense all back to a story in the Sun around 1980 that said Hackney council had banned baa baa black sheep. It was made up of course, but people repeated the story endlessly for years.

I don't think I insulted you. Sorry if you're offended by anything I said.

But not being of the PC persuasion, I don't mind offending people.
