Though the PS3 will no doubt do well in the long run, it's launch has been somewhat modest. Over in the US (where it's a fair deal cheaper) it's being outsold by every other console, including the PS2. I'm told Sony have said they want the PS3 to run till 2012 at the very least, making price cuts over here very probable, so yes, give it a wait.
But it's all about the games, of course. So far the Xbox has excelled in online gaming and with some of the big franchise games being or going multi-format (GTA being the real biggie), a 360 might be a wiser next gen investment at present if you don't own one already.
oh, and if it's your thing, you'd get to play a little something called Halo 3 later in the year, which - yes, Keith! - I am very excited about.

Charming comment. I would have thought that, given the nature of this forum which discusses topics that many "civilians" would find unacceptable, there would be a case for some leeway. I did think you made some interesting comments, but now you are just being a troll.

The last word, yes, I agree, give it 6 months and the PS3 will be the one to buy though, in the long race we all know playstation will win the gameplay war
