I take your point that all thieves are not junkies and I know that some rich people are addicts and don't steal people's bikes! However by "junkie" I mean an addict who sticks a hypodermic syringe into his veins and pulls out some blood to mix with a perniciously addictive substance then shoots it up, the main substance being morphine hydrochloride (heroine). Of course one can be addicted to alcohol and take it orally first thing in the morning and the first sign of true alcohol addiction being the vomiting of blood from the stomach. Once one is an real addict (hooked) then this person has become less than human because they have overridden the first instinct of life -self preservation. The priority of the addict is the substance that they are addicted to and all other morality is subservient.

Talking about the herb cannabis in the same breath as heroine, for example, is a gross generalisation despite the huge amount of anti cannabis propaganda in the media and from people like the Institute of Psychiatry. You can smoke as much cannabis as you like and it is non addictive. That means you wont steal some one's bike to have a smoke! The only person to die from cannabis was when a ten ton block of it fell on him in a warehouse!

In Amsterdam a significant amount of petty crime is committed by a small minority of heroin addicts and when I was there you could put a hit on someone for a thousand guilders!

The authoritarian state does not like cannabis because it stimulates thought and discussion and sometime rebellion.

These symptoms are temporary and and one can become "paranoid" for example but unless you are already developing schizophrenia you will learn a valuable lesson!

Sorry if I seemed to "pillory" addicts. Morphine hydrochloride should be free to help them. Holland has the most aged heroine addicts in the world.

Incidentally the word "heroine" means female hero in French and it acquired the nickname in the First World War because it helped kill the pain of the wounded.

Cannabis is addictive, but to fair the person who becomes addictited is weak at the start so therfore could be addicted to anything, Unless you are an Artist or similar it fucks your brain up and prevents you achieving, but a the same time tells you it don't matter being an under achiever is cool.

Just my oppinion having battered it for a year before realising it was time to get of my fat ass and get on with it all,
