Warren,
My stance is not a compromise ,or hypocrisy, but the fact that I believe that side effects of NHS drugs to treat disease are ineffectual and that remedial treatment is the answer.
Conversely that surgeons are brilliant in repairing healthy bodies that have been damaged in an accident. Any surgeon will tell you that healthy people heal much faster and have a much greater chance of survival. than most.

Herbs do work and are extremely powerful. It is not superstition but folklore that has existed for hundreds of thousands of years and often these traditional remedies have no side effects. Of course the drugs industy is very powerful and instrumental in propagating continuous propaganda against alternative medicine.
I have already lived a long time and I am still strong and fit.

Blue,
The NHS has convinced you that you have to take them and you believe it! Why do yo have to take them and what are you suffering from?

Blue,
I see that you are totally trustful of the drugs industry! By the way the biggest cause of high blood pressure is too much salt.
If I were you I would research my heart complaint on the internet. Exercise, cut out salt, and so on. In other words alter my lifestyle.

I take 4 types of pills a day. 3 to reduce high blood pressure and 1 to prevent oesophageal reflux disease ( a severe form of heartburn). These I have only been taking for about a year.

Warren,
Yes many prescription medicines are based on the active constituents in herbal remedies but then they are highly refined and are absorbed by the body differently. Herbs, as such, are not tested in clinical conditions by the drugs industry because a herb cannot be marketed as a copyright medicine - a plant can be obtained by anyone and even grown. The knowledge about the medicinal effects of certain herbs has been passed down from our ancestors and as such is folklore.
The drugs industry carries out a propaganda war against herbal remedies because they see them as threatening their monopoly. Remember thalidomide and other medical disasters.
Of course medicines that work are medicines but many NHS medicines have massive side effects that lead to more NHS medicines and I re-iterate that one can tell one's age by the number of pills one take if one is a patient under the NHS.
Yes I did have a few inoculations but would not consent now if I could go back in time.
Mike.
