"Seriously, not sure why President WZR's point about electric cars just creating more pollution via fossil fuel power plants is so "hilariously" wrong. Not been refuted yet."

Quite so old boy, however, I do find it bizzare that we can't fuel a vehicle efficiently(sp) without petrol or it's derivitive's, see my previous rant..

b.t.w, you may need to change your title to Chairman, President is sooooooo American.

Once again Pres., from the Tesla Motors FAQs that I referenced earlier...

Electric power generation in the USA does not use oil. Coal, hydro, nuclear, solar, and natural gas are typical sources for generating electricity. Power generation plants, even coal burning ones, are inherently more efficient and less polluting than vehicles due to economies of scale and the ability to more efficiently remove pollutants from a smaller number of much larger fixed locations.

Also, an electric car is far more efficient than a gasoline car, so the amount of pollution generated by producing the electricity to drive an EV a given distance is much less than the pollution from the gasoline to drive an internal combustion car the same distance.

Religion is the root cause of the 'biggest troubles on this planet' not oil.

Religion and oil work in harmony. War over religion is just a way to hide the fact that the war is really over oil. War and religion together make up the largest problem on the planet for certain. Even the bible itself references the end times as the ultimate battle over "oil for our lamps".

Oil and religion, destructive together!

You are clearly a terrible president. Another sad supporter of the status quo, with no vision - just negative reinforcement. The electric car is WAY better than what we have now. The technology is not perfect, but at least it's a move in a better direction. What have you invented lately? What is your grand vision, and how is it more credible than anyone else's?

As a regular person perhaps you would not be called out, but as a self-proclaimed president you need to take some responsibility for your people :)

I must apologise, I didn't realise that Richard the Lionhearts' crusades were really over oil, also the Trojan wars, Zulu wars, American war of independence etc etc etc... I now realise I should have paid more attention in my history lessons.

Okay, you win on a technicallity. I suppose what I should have said was MOST wars are over greed of some sort (land, oil, etc.), but that religion is almost always a way to justify the means for both sides.

Didn't realize you were going to play the "Zulu" card. You are very sneaky....
