Never read any of Orwell's stuff Wazza........found a website with all his works though.
All free.........and to think I was going to pay amazon for the privilege only last night!

No problem about the polite reply.
If I recall vendors are given their pitches it's not a case of just getting the mags and going to the places with the disposable income.
I was talking to one young lad who was traveling from Manchester to Preston just to sell them.
There were also lots of other rules and regulations about being on the pitches, how they were given etc. It's a long time since I looked into the work they did so things may have changed but I doubt it.
Working in the charity sector is mostly about presentation anyone damaging the work of the Big Issue (being drunk or begging for example) is in all likelihood not an official vendor.

I was hassled by one a few years back he was giving me the sob story of being HIV positive i just told him to fuck off.
