You're causing trouble again Keith.
You've actually blamed the 'shires people' twice now for the flooding. I'm sure you meant the local councils maybe? Anyway us 'shires people' might not like to be generalised as tight........!laugh!
Why bring 'shireness' into a flooding thread? Do you have something against 'shires'?

1995 Rhine Flooding.
2006 Danube Flooding
2005 European Wide Flooding 42 people killed at least in central Europe - with Brienz, Bern badly hit, plus 11 people dead in Austria and Germany!
These are all major floods....

A small river near where I live burst it's banks the other day. Thankfully not much damage was caused.

Contacted the Water company, we're safe, thank fuck for that, LOL.
At least we don't have to worry about enough water supply.
But with the weather forcast of more rain due over the next 3 days, it could all change, LOL. !tut!

There was discusion on the tv last night, over the problem of flooding throughout Gloucestershire, especially in Tewkesbury. The reporter was talking with a couple of people with regard to flood control, & 1 of the "officials" he was talking with, kept harping on about the sheer cost of setting up the infastructure.
