Why retarded? Are adults not allowed to dream?

One of life's great pleasures is to lose yourself in a book. Doesn't matter what it's about, or whether anyone else likes it. I might question the taste of someone who likes certain authors, but I can only do so if I've read something by that author.

Whether the adults are retarded, or any other, it obviously keeps their minds interested.

You're missing the point, Snake. Keith doesn't approve, and that makes it wrong. Freedom of choice doesn't exist.

If your daughter is planning on reading Potter, better make it soon before she's too old for it.

Written to sell? They were written by a single mother in a cafe in Edinburgh. It was only pure luck that the first one took off the way it did.

To quote Lister (after Rimmer claimed Captain Scott had killed Oates, and eaten him, and made up the "supreme sacrifice ending): You've got no magnificence in your soul.
