Bread was a product of its time and, like The Darling Buds Of May a few years later (although the books were written 50 years ago), had the whole nation happily enjoying the dole-cheating, skiving, tax-dodging criminal activities of a bunch of parasitic scum.

I'm with you, Spider. It was about utter crap (imho).

And how long do you think a case would last at Handiwork Towers? In no time at all the case would be half empty. Wine has a very short half life here.

Further back around 1975?there was a few crap comedys the Wackers about a rough Liverpool family [Keith Chegwin]was in it;The Squirrels another crap one .Down The gate [Reg Varney] etc.Caractacus wrote:
