With PR every voter has the opportunity to place more than one vote. Candidates are elected on preference ie, first, second and third choice.
PR was used in the recent (May 07) Scottish local council elections.

Frustated, I think, sums it up- I still believe [possibly quixotically] in the UK electoral sytem, but my faith dims a little every year.....
BTW, this might amuse you [just to show my teeth haven't yet become
totally blunted]- MS was I believe a bit-part actor in some 80s Europorn
and hasn't quite accepted he's now a sad old has-been :- ))].

The same line is being taken on Newsnight Scotland----it's the media, not us briefing against him. Honest, mister.
As I suggested earlier, this is a kind of justice given that Ming did a fair bit of undercover sniping at Kennedy. But the one thing that would stop me ever voting Lib Dem is that loathsome hypocrite Hughes.
