I don't like hazelnuts..... missed out on the joys of the walnut whip.
Fry's chocolate creams are amazing, but what happened to the one with 'five centres'?

I had one of those new Mars bars the other day. It was disgusting and I was nearly sick!

I love nuts in my chocolate (ooer). I haven't seen a walnut whip in ages. I liked the one with the coffee flavoured cream centre.

The reason is that the taste of them has changed. Today they're just too sweet and sugary.

Eric replies: Yeah, we were only talking about that the other day when the Mrs pointed out some Curly Whirlies at the supermarket checkout. They're a good example: They used to be big and chunky - now they're flat and thin.
Same with things like Maltesers as well: You used to get a decent lot in a bag. Now you get about 4.
I think the decline in taste has a lot to do with the "new improved" recipes!

And does anyone else remember Cadbury's Toffee Buttons?? They were around for a short time late '60s / early '70s. Basically Cadbury's buttons with a thin bit of toffee in the middle. Came in a red bag, IIRC. Rolf Harris advertised them on TV.
Or Aztec bars?? Cadbury's Country Style?? Two other (apparently) forgotten '70s sweeties.

Don't recall Country Style, but Aztec Bars were around for a short time in the early 1970s.
