I know that Sam, I was just trying to get it sorted quickly, lol.

The limited info (No Manual or guide) supplied was just a lil bit of paper descibing the layout for the USB cables, & that wasn't helpful. I did manage to get updated pin guides to my motherboard & the new Case from the maufacturers websites. I found the pin layouts actually do match, just some of the wires have been left out.

I was thinking that if the wires were fitted incorrectly, which was mentioned in your earlier post here, the headphone & mic socket on the front wouldn't work, but they do work perfectly, which is why I was stumped to what was wrong.

It was only when I spoke a guy from the company where I got the case from, that he then said he has something similar to this with his case, but he don't use his system the same way as me, so he can't really tell which it could be, lol. But he does think it more likely simple through-put sockets rather than incorrect wiring, even though some of the wires are missing, lol.

And of the various Tech People I spoke to today, none seems to know of the function in windows to change the order of which audio sockets take priority. !sad!

Thanks again every1 for helping with info on this problem, I can live with it, it's just annoying that it won't work the way I'm used to using with the old case.

You could always get a techy in to troubleshoot or take it to them

As Lizard said nothing like being in front of the computer to diagnose a problem.Every set-up is different so diagnosing from remote is hard
