Ha, I wasn't joking Fudgey!
There's no way he got swept so far down the coast that he wasn't spotted by sea rescue, or any coast guards who'd have been informed within the hour.
What? So he wakes up on some beach with a wetsuit on and walks into the nearest town where no one asks questions? On that first night of not knowing who he is, where does he go to sleep? Surely a man walking around in a wetsuit at 3am gets spotted by someone and calls the police?
He manages to find clothing and gets himself 250 miles south into London, not knowing who he is. I'm sure if I woke up on a beach, with a wetsuit on, I'd work out that it isn't normal, and should go to the nearest police station immediately.
What a corker of an excuse!
