I enjoyed The Office but Extras, no.

I feel this comedy is like many others where as I believe the best comedy is provided by the supporting cast and not the main actors.

ie. Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder.

The supporting roles of Nicholas Lyndhurst, Roger Lloyd Pack, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry far outweigh David Jason and Rowan Atkinson.

I feel this also the case with The Office with Martin Freeman and Mackenzie Crook stealing the show from Ricky Gervais.

If I was pushed I would say that I found Extras slightly less annoying and self gratifying than "The Office". I don't really agree with Ace that Gervais will find plenty of work as I think he is VERY limited in the acting department (unless playing a variation of himself) and his stand up routine isn't going to hit the jackpot. But you just never know he might surprise the majority here and reinvent himself.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
