What price do you recommend that I pay for a wireless mouse? If it's in the region of ?25 then that's too much.

Just pullin yer leg Trumpy.

Get one as cheap as possible if it's only a temporary thing. Daft paying a large sum.

I just ordered a dell laptop with a 3 cell battery for a friend of mine, but she wanted a 9 cell battery. Is there much of a difference?

I Haven't read what everyone else said but....ive had a few years of laptops.

My sony lasted 18 months and was ?1800 (!)
My second Sony was ?900 and lasted 2 years both machines broke almost exactly within one year and were repaired
My Dell broke on exactly one year and has had several parts replaced and im now using it regularly for pleasure....im using it now
My apple MacBook Pro is purely for work and is about 5-6 months old and like most ppls macs broke/had a problem at first but once that's solved it's amazing

Basically, I've learnt that the more you use them the less time they last. I have a computer on for hrs and hrs a day. They don't overheat that much as such but its still wear on the parts... Also it depends what you do on them. My mac will never see porn or dodgy adware sites etc whereas the Dell is allowed to visit most things with a kinda "i'll clean it up after" attitude

what I would say is ... I will never run just one laptop again hopefully. Due to work I will need/want one to be a Mac too........and basically - in my experience they all last about 12 months......then somethingneeds repairing. But that may just be my overuse.........consider the extended 3 yr warranties.

As I say, I've had my lappy for 21 months now. It's been running fine except for this annoying problem with the touch pad.

Tomorrow I'll be buying a wireless mouse, so hopefully that'll rectify, albeit on a temporary basis, the glitches I've been experiencing.
