And Montgomery and Jones were created by the BALCO lab as well.

Chambers was the reasonably talented, easy to manipulate muppet that Conte recruited to replace Montgomery (and beat him) when Montgomery left BALCO. And sufficiently malleable that Conte could experiment with new 'recipes' on Chambers.

Why did the rules concerning athletes who cheat (by using steroids) change?

It used to be the case that when they were caught it was an immediate life ban, but apparently that's all changed.

Cheats are winning!

they didn't, it's only the olympics that have a life ban, Chambers is running in the indoors

I'd rather watch BBC's famous testcard from the 1970's than watch Athletics. But has'nt Chambers served his punishment?.

Ben Johnson was given a second chance.People should stop ganging up on him(Chambers) and making an example of him.

I mean people in general, not you forumites directly !happy!

I used to watch athletics on TV regularly. However, since the rules were changed to allow cheats to compete again I've stopped watching.

He should be made an example of as far as i'm concered, there should be zero tolerence with regard to drug taking in any sport.
As for second chances, i said in an earlier post ask his 3 team mates in the 4 x 100 metres relay team who had their silver medals taken from them in the world championships because of his drug taking if he should race again.

I don't think we've heard the end of this for a while yet.
It's the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Birmingham this weekend and i see the organisers have banned him from entering.
Well done !thumbsup!
