"I agree that calling someone a 'thick cunt' isn't nice, but WZR was called some names in his time, and on numerous occasions!"

With respect, that defence is only relevant if the abuse had been it that thread - it wasn't, it isn't and I have always been careful never to let any disagreement on any forum I use become personal - as well as being against the rules and rude, it's also pretty pointless. 'Bullying' is an over-used word these days but it does apply here..... he was/is wily enough to know one thread and poster from another, and to adjust his attitude, behaviour & language accordingly.

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

WZR... glad to see the back of him. He was nothing more than a bully, and I'm surprised he was allowed to continue posting his poison on here for so long.

Certainly - anything the slightest bit detrimental to his beloved middle class and he'd be off like a firework.

btw - I'm not really on here often enough to give a damn who fancies they're cock 'o the walk, but as Dynatech noted, starting threads primarily to mock other forum members - both S56 and OD - in such a seemingly callous and unprovoked manner was for me almost beyond the pale (I've seen this sort of thing send other forums straight down the toilet).

Somewhat beneath his self-proclaimed intellectual status too. RIP indeed.

I had a peculiar "relationship" with Zooter (Wazza). Sometimes we'd be at each others throats (metaphorically speaking) and a short while later he'd become all chummy with me.

He did however get me really angry once when he demanded that I retract an opinion I'd made. This when beyond reasonable behaviour on a public forum IMO.

He did certainly appear to have this hectoring and cajoling persona, and yes he did attempt to dominate many threads which caused many to dislike him.

I'd thought he was slickly clever - but he suffered from a fatal flaw, which was - a high degree of arrogance that ultimately lead to his demise. He, wrongly, believed that he could administer this site himself. This was clearly demonstrated when he called for Mr. Freeman to be banned.

The question is; will he return with a new/different username? I'd imagine that he'd need to access these forums again using another computer.

I see your point but I don't agree wholeheartedly. If you hold to that opinion 100% then you'd have to admit that whatever Wazza has said to piss you off on other threads, on this thread right now, it's all irrelevant and he's a nice guy.

Though we should try not to, people hold grudges and respond in kind to previous rudeness. I'm not saying you personally was a bully btw (I've not come across anything where you have) but all I'm saying is that Wazza isn't/wasn't the only one. There've been serious, repetative sniping at Wazza on threads he's not even participated in, but he will have read them no doubt.

Was this name-calling and abuse a reaction to Wazza's persona, or was Wazza's persona a response to the name-calling and abuse? Maybe a bit of both?

Regardless, it's too late to argue about it now, but there is an old saying that not many can quibble with:

"It takes two to tango, baby!"

Uh?

I think he'll agree on the 'wanker' bit.....this is a porn forum after all. As for coward: I didn't see him back down from many (rightly or wrongly). The cowards are the ones that are having a pop now he's not around to answer back.

The killagram stuff did get out of hand. I didn't get involved that much tbh and the promo boards are for promoting which is fair, but you can't say he never told anyone he was a member of their site! He said it on numerous occasions if you care to do a search.

And if you don't want to come across as a hypocrite, you should actually be asking for Wazza to be reinstated, as you yourself was once banned and reinstated (and I backed you up on that occasion if you remember?).

A coward and a wanker, eh?

Tell me, KG's number one cheerleader---have you ever been escorted from these premises at all? And if so, why?

This is becoming very rich indeed. All we need now is MF to complain that Zevon misunderstood his creepy posts with regard the sexual rights of teenagers.

For the record, Mr RIP could be infuriating, pedantic to the point where you'd consider violence, and sometimes his responses were inappropriately scathing, vicious, even cruel. I thought the "cut out and keep Steve56" was uncalled for.

He did, however, provoke debate, allow people to discuss more than just the surface areas of a subject. And, that old stand-by, if you didn't like him or what he had to say, you were free to ignore him. I tried to point out to the Colonel (but it could equally be said of various others) that he was obsessing about Wazza---and maybe that was the agenda behind his inflamatory posts. People would abandon long-held beliefs and argue a case just because he was in favour. What does that say about you guys?

I'd like to think that I get on fairly well with most of the people that post here (the hypocrite above notwithstanding). It's a rather large church, with a broad range of views, and we're never all going to be in agreement. Shutting out an eloquent debator----albeit an infuriating, sometimes pedantic one----just means we have a less-rounded view of the world around us.

Still, it'll mean it's safe for the BNP brigade to reappear from under their stones again.
'The workers look up to the masters because the masters have put them on their knees.
Get up off your knees and fight.'
I didn't see Wazza as a master, and I doubt many did....though it's a good quote!

What's happening now though, isn't the workers getting up off their knees to fight. A more accurate analogy would be the workers 'dancing over the dead body' of a master, would it not?

Me and Wazza disagreed on some things, so I don't know where rose tinted glasses come into play. In fact, he never gave me an example of a 'non-bold' statement (our last punch-up)!
